The Culpepper and Merriweather Circus will be making a stop in Atkinson on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 to put on a performance under a real circus big top.
The 90-minute family-friendly show will feature Big Cats, Tight Rope, Aerialists, Fire-Eating, Dogs, Foot-Juggling, Daredevils, and more.
The midway will open an hour prior to the show, and will include a full concession stand, pony rides, face-painting, and inflatable rides.
Two shows will be performed while the Culpepper and Merriweather Circus are in town, one at 5pm and one at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased in person before the day, of the circus from local outlets to be announced soon or online at https://cmcircus.square.site. Tickets will also be available for purchase on the day of the circus at the box office.
It is encouraged that spectators buy their tickets ahead of time, as a higher portion of the proceeds will go towards the event’s sponsor, the Atkinson Lions Club. The show is set to take place a the Legion Ballfield.
