The City of O’Neill, an EOE, is taking applications for the position of Solid Waste Supervisor. Qualifications include: high school diploma or equivalent, Nebraska operator’s license, possession of or ability to obtain a CDL with proper endorsements within six months from date of hire, completion of the Hazardous Waste Training, basic mechanical aptitude, previous supervisory experience and excellent communication and organizational skills.
The position of Solid Waste Supervisor plans, organizes and directs the activities of the Solid Waste Department and related work as required. Responsible for the facility and landfill compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations. The Supervisor works under the administrative direction of the Mayor and City Council but independently applies policies and procedures. The position involves a 40-hour work week and full benefits. Starting salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
