Registered Nurse: Nights – $7,500 Sign-On Bonus

Valley Hope of O’Neill has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated and passionate team!

Valley Hope nurses specialize in making patients feel loved from the moment they walk in the door by providing compassionate medical care, key to the short and long-term success of patients in recovery. Nurses typically work with patients from admission to discharge, providing supportive medical care over 30-45 days of treatment, offering a unique treatment approach, and rewarding work experience with hands on help for patients to heal and recover in real time.

Valley Hope of O’Neill has served the Nebraska community with healing residential addiction treatment and recovery support since 1976.

The work is fulfilling, mission focused, yet more relaxed than the standard hospital setting.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Licensed as a Nurse to practice in the state of employment.
  • Associate’s degree in nursing required for RN applicants
  • Work experience in substance abuse treatment industry is preferred.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications

COMPENSATION:

  • Starting base pay is $35 – $40/hr (based on education and experience)
  • $7,500 Sign-On Bonus

Shift Differentials:

  • Night: $4.25
  • Weekend Night: $4.75
  • Weekend Day: $1.00

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Executes prescribed treatments and medication interventions as established for each patient.
  • Implements nursing care in accordance with Valley Hope’s medical philosophies, policies, and procedures as well as any other regulating bodies to ensure quality patient care.
  • Conducts detox admissions and provides patient care during patient detoxification process including pre-screening of patients, obtaining physical assessment data and health history, administering detox treatment plans, and monitoring of patient.
  • Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely; completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Communicates with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patients’ treatment and status.
  • Maintains a safe and sanitary environment applying infection control techniques and universal precautions.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures regarding patient information protection and HIPPA.
  • Assists with detox admissions and provides patient care support during patient detoxification process including pre-screening of patients, obtaining physical assessment data and health history, administering detox treatment plans, and monitoring of patient.
  • Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely; completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Oversees non-licensed nursing staff as instructed by and under the direction of the facility Nursing Director.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility.
  • Direct contact with patients.
