Looking for a Safety Coordinator that will report to the EHS Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for various tasks that include, but not limited to assisting with employee training, using monitoring and test equipment, gathering data, preparing reports and updating environmental management plans. The primary goal is ensuring plant compliance with all regulatory criteria to support company-wide excellence in environmental, health and safety management. Responsibilities also include training on educational materials, inspecting company facilities and recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations.
Duties also include:
- Complete area safety audits including rail and truck loadout safety audits
- Help lead safety committee/training meetings with plant employees
- Assist with compliance to the OSHA Process Safety Management rule by conducting annual contractor site specific training and periodic contractor safety audits
- Manage and prioritize assigned tasks simultaneously through effective communication with EHS Manager and other managers to help meet overall expectations and needs
- Understand and follow all safety practices, including proper use of PPE
- Foster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance at all times
