Primary Duties:
The Holt County Independent newspaper is seeking an individual interested in covering the stories of the Holt County area. The position requires an organized person who takes initiative and can run their own show. There is a lot of room to grow in the position. Duties include writing stories, designing pages, web site maintenance, photography and attend outside events and meetings.

Skills:
Typesetting including journalistic skills such as writing, grammar and word usage skills, photography, communication skills and willing to travel to cover events. Must be willing to work well with local officials. We are willing to train. Experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop are helpful, but not required.
