North Central District Health Department is looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Emergency Preparedness Liaison. The Emergency Preparedness Liaison will work as the point of contact for schools in the North Central District Health Department District as they reopen during the COVID-19 response, ensure procedures and policies are current with State of Nebraska and Department of Education guidelines, champion Risk Dial management for the district, and working in public health vaccination programs and other public health clinics.
A successful candidate will have a healthcare background, a current, thorough understanding of COVID-19, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, strong leadership skills, ability to anticipate hazards and problems and respond effectively, excellent interpersonal skill, computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and ability to learn new software quickly. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Science, Statistics, or Nursing with at least two years of experience in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare, or other data or science-related fields. Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse preferred but not required.
