As a an employee in Feed Sales at Central Valley Ag, you will be responsible for sales of feed products and services to area producers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Calls on customers and sells to customers with an emphasis on Cow/Calf operations with the ability to address all feed species.

2.    Responsible for maintaining current customer case and calls on prospective producers to build new business to increase feed sales.

3.    Provides production/nutrition solutions for producers needs in regard to their livestock needs.

4.    Follow pricing procedures as established by Feed Division.

5.    Utilizes computer software to provide producers financial solutions.

6.    Markets the location’s products, services and knowledge.

7.    Keeps supervisor and feed leadership apprised of sales trends.

8.    Keeps supervisor apprised of all customer complaints and responsible for providing a high level of customer satisfaction by handling complaints professionally.

9.    Comply with current Central Valley Ag credit policies.

10.    Maintains and promotes a safe work environment.

11.    Performs other duties as assigned.

•    Good speaking, writing and time management skills required.

•    Must possess problem solving skills.

•    Must have the ability to use good judgment and decision making.

•    General mathematics and accounting skills required.

•    Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills required.

•    The ability to use a variety of computer applications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in a Feed Milling or Animal Science is required or an associates degree and 2 to 3 years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver’s license.
