POSITION SUMMARY
Performs technical assistance to Mortgage Banking Manager, mortgage operations team and mortgage originators. Responsibilities include monitoring mortgage loan pipeline, acquiring underwriting and closing documentation from clients, and preparing closing documents for mortgage originators. Additional responsibilities include mortgage underwriting, implementing post-closing procedures and escrow.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
1. Manages individual loan files, including monitoring loan procedure checklist and pipeline report.
2. Processes new applications, including online application pipeline (Mortgagebot) and prepares initial disclosures or denials based off officer or committee review.
3. Initiates acquisition of required underwriting and closing documents from vendors and clients such as verifications, tax transcripts, flood determinations, title insurance, credit reports and other required information.
4. Prepares loan documents and maintains loan files for residential 1-4 family mortgages and Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs).
5. Processes MPF and portfolio loan payments and engages in customer service activities, along with being able to answer questions on mortgage loan products and servicing, balance, payment and escrow inquiries.
6. Prepares loan closing documentation and coordinates closing procedures with vendors, clients, and TCB originators.
7. Processes escrow payments of taxes, flood and hazard insurance through FiServ and Lereta Tax Servicing systems.
8. Prepares and processes loan entry tickets and records filing documents (Deed and/or other).
9. Implements post-closing procedures that include entering loans on Fiserv system and scanning files to ABS and Director and filing physical files.
10. Scans documents for other departments as needed.
11. Tracks final documents for mortgage loan file completion (final title, recorded deeds, and guarantees) and submits to originators for final loan close-out approval.
12. Implements post-closing procedures.
13. Prepares Loan Denials for all Lending Teams.
