JOB DESCRIPTION:
Page farmer looking for a farmhand to run day to day farm operations, including: planting, harvesting, trucking, pivot maintenance, crop surveying, and farm equipment maintenance. If you enjoy being outdoors, working independently, have good communication skills, and are self-motivated, then you will enjoy working full time for this farmer/rancher. The owner will provide training, but prefers someone with 3 years of agricultural experience or more. Two weeks vacation provided, along with a monthly production bonus. Guaranteed pay for 50 hours per week, plus time and a half for hours over 50. Salary is negotiable and based upon experience. Please contact Jeff Mudloff, owner, for more information at 402-394-7900.
JOB DUTIES & PERSONAL QUALITIES:
Run planter & farm machinery
Operate harvest equipment
Monitor pivots & provide minor repairs
Provide field observations & use technology to produce optimum crop
Maintain farm equipment & make minor repairs
Communicate with farm owner about repairs, changes to schedule, or concerns
Meet deadlines of assigned tasks
Drive truck to deliver goods
Demonstrate initiative using time efficiently
Display a strong work ethic & physical stamina
Possess accurate attention to detail
Have common-sense decision making skills
