Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, calm, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a 911 Dispatcher serving a Boyd and Holt Counties in Nebraska. This position plays a critical role in public safety by answering emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching law enforcement, fire, and EMS personnel, and providing vital information quickly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer incoming 911 and non-emergency calls in a professional and composed manner
Gather essential information from callers and prioritize calls based on urgency
Dispatch appropriate emergency services using radio and computer-aided dispatch systems
Maintain clear and accurate records of all calls and actions taken
Monitor radio traffic and provide support to field personnel
Assist callers with emergency instructions when necessary
Collaborate with law enforcement, fire departments, and EMS teams

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required
Strong communication and listening skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dispatch systems
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous dispatch, emergency services, or call center experience
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
