Primary duties of a Street Department Operator involves maintaining streets and alleys, street sweeping, maintenance of drains and ditches, spraying mosquitoes, mowing and snow removal. Maintenance and operational logs for all street department equipment. Performing other duties as assigned. A full job description is available at the city offices 401 E. Fremont St. O’Neill.
Qualifications for the job:
1. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
2. Education level to the completion of the 12th grade.
3. Valid Nebraska drivers license.
4. Basic mechanical aptitude.
5. Ability to lift or move fifty pound objects throughout a full work day.
