HELP WANTED – CUSTODIANS

O’Neill Public Schools is seeking motivated individuals to join our custodial team. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Candidates should have good people and communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A working knowledge of building maintenance and general custodial duties is preferred.

Position Options:

• Full-time: 40 hours per week, with insurance benefit options, sick and vacation leave, and retirement plan.
• Part-time: 20 hours per week, with limited benefits.

Salary is competitive and based on skills and experience.

Custodians will be assigned, supervised, and evaluated by the Superintendent. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning and maintaining assigned areas;
• Periodically inspecting facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness;
• Performing minor repairs and maintenance of school property and equipment;
• Safely storing and caring for equipment and materials;
• Controlling litter on school grounds and performing limited snow removal;
• Working in inclement weather conditions as needed;
• Using cleaning chemicals safely and appropriately;
• Providing custodial support following school activities, which may include some evenings and weekends;
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information related to staff, students, and parents;
• Maintaining a positive and cooperative working relationship with staff, students, patrons, and vendors; and
• Performing other duties as assigned.
